Ika, Gin, Fit and some News

Ika, my Image manipulation library, will be getting a new partner in the form of Gin (Graph Interface), which in turn will be used for Fit and a few other projects. Which I will talk about more in the coming days.

In other news, this section finally has a database backend. The database is very simple at this point, but there are some major improvements in the pipelines. Expect some more updates as the site grows.

Fit

Ever since attempting to come up with 3-character long names for all my drives, I have gotten into the habit of naming all my projects, at least initially, with a semi-related 3-character name. Fit is the latest one, since I am currently in a state of upheaval, I have decided I may as well increase my fitness level, and not to do anything half-hearted, I am designing a little program to help me along.

Fit, which will probably be put under Qitika is being designed to help me monitor my training, fitness and overall weight levels over the next few months. I'm hoping to squeeze in some nice data visualisation, so watch this space!.

Site Makeover and other News

Hello! Welcome to the brand new site! As we are entering September, the traditional start of the school year I thought it would be appropriate to give the site a makeover and finally get round to polishing off things that I've been meaning to finish for a while. Although the site is far from finished, I backend is practically non-existent for the time being, but soon there should be a content manager, which will prevent all this horrid static content from hanging around.

So, will I finally start blogging regularly again? Who knows, I am certainly planning to, and have enough material for a few good days so we will see how it goes.

Coming Up

I have a few projects in the pipeline, most of which will be placed under Qitika, my new baby project for all things data. Qitika News is going to get some care and attention, and hopefully an admin area. There are a few data visualisation tools I am looking into creating over the coming months which will tie into some other, yet to be released Qitika projects, so watch this space!

Gigtrac should get a new lease of life in the coming months, with a possible tie in to Qitika, I'm still in the whiteboard stage with this project so expect something around December (maybe earlier if I have a breakthrough)

Robotics! or a subset thereof will be making an appearance, I've finally decided to get into the nitty gritty of real world circuitry and related fields. Expect some progress on this soon.

Rounding Up

That's all for now, but check in soon!
